Use Pritchard Park for more public events; stop adding hotels: we will lose several worthwhile businesses when the Flatiron Bldg is taken away

parking is always an issue. It is disheartening for so much downtown space to be occupied by hotels and breweries. Other entertainment is great too.


What have you seen or experienced in other cities that could improve our public spaces in downtown Asheville?
In charlotte, the EpicCenter is nice the way it has many things to offer in one space. Also the sidewalks are large and clear and the roadways are one way which seems helpful. There are so many things to do in a short walking distance.

When I see bike police. lighting. safe and functioning crosswalks

closed sidewalks and roadways due to construction. sidewalks that are not taken care of, due to tree roots also they are narrow and people are crowding you and speeding by you very closely instead of having the room to pass by safely.

The parts that are still eclectic. We are losing some of that with the hotels... I love that it is still a place that people can gather day or night. The food that is still there
