Please do not get rid of the ponds. Not everyone can afford zoo membership. The ponds are a great place for children to experience nature. Much of the local birding community frequent the ponds as well—I am one of those birders. These established water features are a valuable resource for the birds and for the city of Tucson. If you could find a way to keep the ponds, it would be a win for local/migrating birds and for all lovers of nature. The ponds are loved and they should remain a part of Gene C. Reid Park. Thank you.
