It was my pleasure to serve with Shirley Scott and her City of Tucson Ward 4 staff by coordinating various Houghton Road corridor work concepts, roadway designs, cost estimates, construction, and construction administration. Shirley always had big improvement ideas, and I was privileged to see a few of them come to fruition. When I think about what the southeast part of the Tucson Valley was and is now, as well as how Shirley Scott's contributions helped to it get there, I think of this Emily Dickenson poem:
"We know not how high we are, 'til we are called to rise,
Then, if we are true to form, our statures touch the skies."
Thank you, Shirley Scott for a job well done - Please name this facility in her name.

Former Council Member Shirley Scott was active on behalf of her Ward 4 constituents and the City as a whole throughout her service as a council member. She was interested to hear from city employees and she returned calls and answered emails. I am personally appreciative of the time she spent working on water issues, and was happy to provide her with detailed information about water projects when she asked for details. I enthusiastically support renaming the Southeast Houghton Area Recharge Project in her honor.

I am in favor of renaming the Southeast Houghton Area Recharge Project to the Shirley C. Scott Southeast Houghton Area Recharge Project.
Ms.Scott has been very influential in establishing programs and policies for a more sustainable and resilient Tucson during her leadership years for Tucson. In the 1990s Ms. Scott leveraged the work done by City of Tucson and International Center for Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI) on the Greenhouse Reduction Inventory and Action Plan, leading to multi-year financial and technical support for renewable energy development from the US Department of Energy and other supporters. As part of the team that brought solar energy to mainstream development beginning in the late 1990s, I can testify to the service and leadership Ms. Scott exhibited. There are other efforts as well which Ms. Scott took leadership and for this and her multi-year efforts at supporting sustainability, Ms. Scott deserves the honor.

I like the idea of the renaming to the Shirley C. Scott Southeast Houghton Area Recharge Project. I misread what you where asking for at first and thought you were wanting employees to come up with a new name.
I think the Hohokam Indigenous people were in this area, I was trying to think of a name around that until I reread what you were asking for. Anyway, this is the name I came up with, Hohokam Irrigation Recharge Village (Sustainable resources taught to us by Hohokam Indigenous People)
I had to share, didn't want it to go to waste, LOL
